My wife and her business partner are on their 3rd new BMW in 6 years aside from my X5 so we've been pretty loyal of late...

This should count in your favour, they might take a hit just to keep loyalty

Re: New build issue
Do feel for you. Not nice experience, you expect a professional level of service when you spend the type of money a X5 costs. The most likely outcome will be you getting the cost of the incomplete options refunded to you plus a token gesture of free service, some freebies, etc. Getting the car rep...

Re: Tuning Remap or Install Hardwire Plug In Chip Box
[quote="crofter"] Hi 5wanny, mine was chipped and remapped by Formula One in Gateshead. Cost was £499 but it pulls like a train!! Personally, I would always have it done by an expert coz, given how sensitive BM electronics are, you never know what damage a plug in could cause. (Just my opi...

Tuning Remap or Install Hardwire Plug In Chip Box
Never chiped a car or had a remap done, but have a 30D 2011 facelift with 245hbhp and thinking of getting something done for a few more bhp/torque increase with more mph.

Re: The Next Generation X5
Started to look to elongated & estate like (more 3rd row leg room) for me. Starting to resemble Q7 ratio height to length. Plus internal shots seen previously have media screen the juts up and not fitted into dash like E70/71. Dont get me wrong, it will be lighter so more MPG even with existin...

Re: Exhaust chrome peeling
My 30D was like this from new, drivers side worse than passengers.
Thought about raising an issue with it, but bought some metal polish from halfrauds for £6 and give them a wee clean every 6-8 weeks or so, works for me.

Dirty baskets, made out it was full cost of replacement across the full year. Suppose for a score of notes its not end world - just principle of wool pulled over eyes.

KwikFit tyre insurance
Was at my local KwikFit and got 2 Continental 285/45/19 Run Flats fitted to rear. Sales guy was offering tyre insurance for 1yr on each tyre for £15e, haggled down to £10e, so £20 for 1yr replacement insurance on 2 new tyres. Ok so only for 1 yr but I do about 17-18K which takes 2/3rd of tyre tread...

Re: In Car Video Recorders
See this web site for good info - very good evaluations of cameras http://dashcamtalk.com/ Issue of constant feed for parking mode recording can be dealt with by fitting a power feed meter which cuts supply to camera if voltage / amps fall below a defined limit. They are usually available with top...
