Alps

Post by jaynana » Mon Dec 29, 2014 10:39 am

just back from the alps, massive drama up there, roads were full of snow! the autobahns around Munich hardly had 2 drive-able lanes.

snow tyres really helped, didn't need snow chains.

2 important lessons learnt:
- glow plugs are important, below -10c!!
- use windscreen washer fluid that works down to -20c, if not it freezes although the nozzles are heated and all the dirt from the grit gets plastered on the windscreen and there's no way to wash them off!

another important lesson - don't go in audis, my mates audi got stuck  :P

one positive, cameras were a non-issue, the number couldnt be read:)
