Hi,

Yeah the Indicator bulb comes on automatically to mark the side of the car when the side lights aren't working (angel eyes). If you get a replacement bulb everything will go back to normal.

You can get the replacements from the dealer for about a tenner or you could take the opportunity to upgrade to LED by buying some LED Markers lights from somewhere like HID's Direct. Do a search on here and you will find some information on it. IMO they look better but some people don't like the LED White.

I had indeed the same a few weeks back, replacement very easy.

I went with the HID direct.

I have a 10% discount code if you want it.

It is a weird bulb and fitting. I would offer you my remaining standard old one, but it is obviously used and might not be worth your while.

No Probs...

You can split the holder and replace the bulb but way too much time and trouble to save a £5!

Hi Guys,

My X5 cam up with the "check park light" about an hour ago, glad i found this message board. Does anyone know of a store in Birmingham where i can by the LED replacement bulb, i though i might take this opportunity to upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

I think HID's Direct is in Manchester but if I recall correct it was next day delivery anyway... I'd just get them from their website and relax at home until they come!

There is a rectangular cover on the back of the light unit with a red coloured seal (off memory). You need to remove this cover and inside you will find the bulb fitting for the angel eyes. The passenger side is quite tough to get to if I recall so start with drivers side so you have an idea what to do.

Good result. The HID replacements I bought were a direct replacement.

Hi Turks, I'm an impatient person so wanted it right away. Found a place in the midlands but wanted £55 for the LED bulbs, told them where to put it and ordered it from HID Direct.

I've taken the driver side bulb out and it looks considerably smaller than the LED replacement, will it fit without modification?

Thanks,
Nando999
