I took out AA breakdown cover with the breakdown repair cover which will pay upto £500 for repairs.  Think all in with breakdown etc it was £150ish.

Self Leveling suspension air bag has gone.  common problem.  Just done my osr one.  Replaced with an arnott one from p38spares.

Easy for a mechanic to change.

Warranty Advice.

Hi All.......warranty time again and BMW have now quoted £1066 for named component and £1350 for fully comp. Considering the car is now nearly 7 years old and on 63,000miles is it worth it or will BMW use the wear and tear argument for failures. Im only concerned as the car has the electronic damper...

From memory the e53 had a lever to change the direction of the lights but it was a bugger.....  you need to weigh up how much night driving you actually think youll be doing on motorways.

Have been using saneftolling for a couple of years now.  Works really well as lots of the French still use cash and cards at the tolls and there are now more 30km/h drive through lanes

You get billed after the event and the rate isnt too bad either

Check the USB charger amperage.  Iphones wont charge properly with less than 1a.

quite a few usb chargers are only 500ma

ipad needs a higher amperage than a iphone.  Probably only half to 1 amp on the usb in the car
