thanks guys, its not really a power lift system that i was after, i just wasnt sure if the hydrolic rams should be powerful enough to push the lid up all the way once the latch was released.. nevermind ha

auto open boot lid

when you pop the boot open via the key, does your hydrolics open the boot lid all the way up or does it just release the latch ? is there a way of making the boot lid go up like the lexus's or some other cars ?

done a full engine service on the X today :D drained all the oil, went to change the oil filter, i noticed that Stephen James gave me the wrong bloody oil filter :thumbsdown: ... so i kinda had no choice but to keep the old filter in there until i go and exchange it 2moro. Anyway, service all done, ...

sorry to say, but your reverse band in the gearbox has died !!!

same thing happened to my E46 325 cabby, i lost reverse which meant new (second hand) gearbox !. i thought i would be able to drive it and not use reverse, but thats proved impossible !!

shouldnt be to difficult Roy... in the wires that you can see, you should have the power and earth wires, so basically a live and a earth, then you will need a seperate AV source ie, a dvd player or ps2 etc, thats where you will need to plug in the red/yellow and white rca cables and its pretty much...

such as? id rather pour boiling water over the handles which will take a couple of minutes than have to spend £70 odd quid and 2hrs labour to fix it ! ;)

im so glad i read the previous posts about the door handle freeze problem... everytime they freeze up now, i dont pull them, i just boil the kettle and pour hot water all over it ...
