Re: alloy wheels
[quote="X5Sport"] All lacquer finishes are now water based (EU Mandated) and these coatings cannot cope with the corrosive materials on our roads. It is a problem for all 'lacquer only' wheel finishes regardless of manufacturer. Sign of the times until someone comes up with a clear coat ...

I use Bilt Hamber " purple rain ".
Fantastic stuff and the best I have found. Non corrosive etc etc.
Its just a crap finish on the wheels.

Re: alloy wheels
Its all very frustrating. There is clearly an issue with the quality of BMW wheels. You would think that by now they would have a different supplier or go for a different finish on the wheels or change the design of the centre caps so that it drains / maybe has holes or something else to stop cor...

Re: F15 March Delivery!! miss the VED change
They won't be selling many cars then.
Its utter bollocks/ robbery etc etc.
The govt needs to be sent a clear message by motorists as we are NOT a cash cow for whenever they are short of cash.
Don't start me off about it...........seething as it is.

Poor Service yet again............
Hi, Is it me ? I have owned many BMW's spanning almost 2 decades. You probably won't believe me , but I have yet to find a main dealer that does what it says on the tin. I am sick and tired of the inconvenience and not only having to take the car to the dealer at least twice to get things fixed but ...

Re: Front Washer Jets
Good effort. However I found an easier way thats still holding up 18 months later. Use compressed air.............disconnect a washer hose and " back wash " air into the washer bottle to clear the blockage. Then use really hot water and run it through several times. The hot water seems to ...

Re: Can it be the tyres??
Hi, Just an observation from personal experience. I am aware of the RTF / Non RFT argument. Has anyone actually suffered a puncture with a RFT tyre ? I have.............there is far more give in that side wall tyre than you think , + of course the X5 is not exactly twiggy either. I always thought yo...

Re: X40d SE vibration and noises
I'd love to hear the explanation on that one , I really would.
I may be wrong , but I believe that ;
If it is dynamically out of balance then turning it by 180 degrees will make no difference . Its either balanced or its not.

Nat

Hi Mark, Yes i left them a terrible review on Trustpilot which they tried to stop. They failed. I don't normally do social media , but they were so bad and arrogant and it made me so angry that I registered and named and shamed so that other people don't use them and go through the same shit i did....

Re: Newbie
If you have ever owned one of these italian cars made out of recycled bake beans tins, youd realise just how bad they were. We loved them but they were proper rust buckets. I had a sud, and a GTV6 for a while. Both utter rot boxes. Then I had a lancia Y10 as a station car . You don't see any rusty o...
