Wow....................result. You want to print/frame that. I bought an AUC car from a dealer and the day after delivery it broke down. Was recovered to my local BMW main agent and when they plugged it in was full of faults. BMW warranty refused to pay for the work saying car had been sold with pre...

Re: Wheel alignment help, shoulder wear
Hi , You need to find awheel alignment centre that has a Huntsman machine and an operator that knows what he is doing. Factory tolerances for tracking are quite wide. Just for the sake of this example, lets say factory tolerance is from +5 to -5. So as long as the number is between that range your ...

Re: BMW Approved Used Car Process?
Er....................no . You are mistaken . Its all about £££££££. They may have opened the bonnet, and had the handle broken then they would have probably dealt with it. But lubricate and adjust if necessary or even consider the cable may stretch beyond the operational limit ? Not a bloody chanc...

Re: Out of adjustment rear brake shoes can damage park brake actuator.
Interesting.............. Every time we released the handbrake on the E70 and reversed off the drive the brakes would squeal. It would do it every time. As the car was under warranty it went to the main dealer to have it checked. Car came back with nothing wrong with it sir. Next day same again , st...

Re: Steering wobble when braking
Hi,
wobble only under braking ? Probably is disks and pads. However most other wobbles I would immediately go for control arms. Known problem with BMW's . Normally get a shimmy between 50-60 mph as an indication and also at times under breaking.
BMW UK have a very poor reputation. They'll just pass you back to the supplying dealer and show no further interest. Been there myself and was not impressed. It doesn't affect them directly so they don't care.
+1 on that . I was sold a car by BMW main dealer ....

Re: E70 common faults/ buyers guide
Hello, I have had mine since April 13. 1st issue was front tyres done by 9000 miles. Tried to claim from BMW for that as car was new but had no luck. Think its terrible that a new car comes out with tracking that kills 2 tyres in 9000 miles. Anyway, now sorted but only because I went and did my home...
